SWAYE Launch Party
Last Thursday, I was very kindly invited to the launch of a new influencer marketing app called SWAYE in the beautiful garden in Opium on Wexford Street. SWAYE is a mobile app platform which allows brands and creatives to apply and join a private marketplace.
On arrival, guests were treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco which I couldn’t possibly say no to!
Last Thursday, the fab Opium on Wexford Street played host to the launch of a new influencer app called SWAYE. SWAYE is an app where both brands and influencers can come together and work with each other. Andrew O’Neill, co-founder of SWAYE called it the ‘tinder of influencing’ . If you’re a business you can upload any deals or offers you have on as well as what kind of influencer (fashion, fitness etc) you’re looking for. If a particular influencer finds a deal and likes it, they can swipe right and start working together!
SWAYE was founded by Andrew O’Neill and Geoff Walker who were there to showcase the new app to guests. SWAYE is an application only, mobile platform that allows both brands and creatives to apply and join a private marketplace. Brands can post certain deals or offers that they’re offering and set criteria (specific following, theme etc) and if a relevant blogger likes it, they simply match with the brand and they can start working together! Co-founder Andrew O’Neill called it the ‘tinder of influencer marketing’

The company have big plans to expand into other markets and are already working with brands such as Pretty Little Thing to name but a few and are already active in Dubai, London, New York and Hong Kong! I wish I came up with the idea because I can see it being even more successful than it already is! You can check out all the cool features available on the app right here!
I’ve a few more events coming up so keep an eye out for more BTS event posts!

Harvey Norman SS18 event!
As you’ll have seen on my instagram a few weeks ago, I was invited to the Harvey Norman Spring Summer 2018 collection night in their flagship store out in Tallaght.
This was an exciting event for two reasons- This was the first event where I was personally invited and wasn’t just someone else’s plus one or that I wasn’t working for the agency that was putting on the event. Between that and the fact it was an interiors event and I am OBSESSED (when I say obsessed, I’ve a scrap book divided into different rooms and have cut outs from magazines of furniture and the style of furniture I want in a room!) I was in my absolute element going around their store in Tallaght haha!
When we got there, we were given a map and a voucher for something really cool (which I’ll tell you about later on) and also told that if we wanted to buy anything then we could use the staff discount!
On the night, they had some fab complimentary food and wine for everyone invited!
As well as the gorge food and wine they had a LIVE ORCHESTRA playing music for the guests which was a complete surprise because I thought it was just music being piped through the store.
The voucher we received at the start of the event was for a custom made to measure pillow using their really cool measuring system. We were taken one by one to be measured and then asked which style of pillow (memory foam , feather and down etc) we preferred! I have to say getting a custom made pillow wasn’t something I was expecting at all which makes it even cooler!
To celebrate the opening of their faux flower shop, they had a faux flower bouquet class and let me tell you now guys, if marketing/PR doesn’t work out for me, I’ll have floristry to fall back on 😉
We finished the night by browsing through the electrical section where I happened to see portable chargers and my Penneys 8 euro portable one was beginning to lose its charge so I thought I’d treat myself to a fab black and rose gold one using the staff discount which everyone on the night could use!
When we were leaving we were given a fab goodie bag with little bits in it which was super nice of them! The bag contained fab bits including a B Sensible breathable pillow case, a selection of faux flowers from their new shop, a sample tub of paint from Colourtrend as well as a candle and a bottle of Ellis Egyptian Oil which smells fab!
My next interiors post will be on SS18 interior trends and I’m super excited about that one!

REVIEW: Bulldog Skincare Oil Controlling Facemask
Just before Christmas, I went up north and picked up some skin care bits as I figured it was about time I took proper care of my skin! After looking around Sainsbury’s and what was on offer, I decided to get the Bulldog Oil Control Facemask and moisturiser. I’ve gone through two bottles of the face mask it so figured it was time for a review of it!
The face mask I use is an oil controlling one as I’ve figured out that I have quite oily skin which is why I break out alot. The bulldog facemask contains witch hazel, willow bark and juniper as well as a blend of natural clays including Cornish and volcanic. This combi nation ensures that your skin feels smooth and fresh after you use it.
How you use it
Once you get the bottle, you squeeze it into your hand and apply it to your face or just particular areas that you feel are more oily than others. Once you’ve applied it, you leave it on for approximately 10-15 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Like I said, I’ve gone through two bottles of it since December and my skin has never felt better! I’ve noticed a big chance especially in the black heads on my nose which used to be COVERED in them.
Where to buy it
Bulldog products are available in all pharmacies ,as well as most supermarkets although it does depend on the size of the shop you’re in as they may not have the full range of products. You can also get them through their website
Keep an eye out for my review on the moisturizer which I’ll do once I’ve used it a few more times!

Diet Coke's #BecauseICan
Diet Coke recently announced the ever so fab Laura Whitmore as their ambassador for their #BecauseICan campaign. This campaign gives coke drinkers access to a series of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to explore their passions through cool and care free events and experiences! The launch night was held in Yamaori on Ormond Quay.
#BecauseICan is all about doing things in life that make you happy no matter what anyone else thinks!
They had beautiful asian inspired food and ‘coketails’ for guests throughout the event.I tried their beautiful ‘Jimihen’ cocktails which was Havanah 3year old rum,Yamahai genshu sake,Lime, sugar syrup and diet coke all served with a fresh mint and I have to say it was one of the nicest cocktails I’ve ever had!
After the little Q&A with Laura Whitmore and Darren Kennedy who was also an ambasador for this campaign, I managed to get a quick pic with Laura which was very kindly taken by her mam who was her plus one for the night!
As we were leaving we were given a massive box which contained three bottles of Coca Cola – original Diet Coke as well as a bottle of their new exotic mango flavor and a bottle of their peach flavor too!
