Today’s post is all about the launch of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival which was held in The Grayson on Stephens Green. The Grayson was the perfect place to launch a jazz festival as it has a very 1930’s glamorous feel to it with it’s vat expanses of marble, polished gold and a variety of velvet furniture.
The Guinness Crok Jazz festival starts on the 25th of October and will be celebrating 41 years of jazz in Cork!
When we arrived, we were offered a complimentary pint of Guinness or a signature cocktail for the night. We both opted for the cocktail as neither of us drink Guinness! The cocktail was made of Roe&Co whiskey, prosecco and a secret ingredient. We enjoyed them so much we got three more throughout the night haha!
Once we finished our first cocktail, we were guided into the stunning atrium to listen to a preview by one of the artists that will be playing the festival. We quickly grabbed one of the stunning marble tables near the stage to make sure we got as good a view as possible.
I’ll admit I’m not the biggest jazz fan in any way but the act we watched was called China Moses and she was INCREDIBLE. Once she finished her set, we grabbed our last cocktail and hit the road for the equally as glam Supermacs on Westmoreland Street hahaha!
The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival runs from the 25th until the 29th of October in numerous venues around Cork some of which are a surprise! If you’re around, make sure you keep an eye out for any ‘jazzy’ goings on!

I had so much fun at the launch as it was something completely different to what I’m into but I loved it!
I’ll be back on Thursday with a review of one of the best pieces of skincare I’ve ever used!
Til next time,
