I recently went to the Simply Be Summer In The City event on the Opium rooftop bar which is a perfect venue for the beautiful summer weather we’ve been having! The only thing I don’t like about it is how you get ZERO views from the rooftop which is a disappointment considering you’re in the middle of town and would get spectacular views for miles around!
In case you were wondering as to why I was at an event like this was because I was my bestfriend’s plus one and well, I can never say no to an event!
I’m so happy I went as I met some amazing people and got to catch up with friends which is the perfect thing to do in the sun!
The Rooftop
When we got up to the roof ,we were greeted by a fab photo backdrop and cool summer props so naturally, me and Marisa shot our album cover for the hottest mix tape about to drop AND we got polaroid copies of our photo too!Along with the selfie wall there was a FAB cocktail selection along with a BBQ and the beautiful Tara Stewart playing hits such as classic Britney and Christina Aguilera!
There was a photbooth area where we posed in front of a backdrop with some of the girls from the PR agency which was super fun as they had props. We probably had the photographers head melted with the amount of takes we did but we were having so much fun!
Once we had our socialite shots taken, we went to the main bar and met up with friends and had so much fun singing and dancing along to Tara FAB tunes!
Inside Opium.SimplyBe had set up clothing rails where you could grab a bag and fill it up! SimplyBe isn’t very ‘me’ so I let Marisa take my bag and she had an absolute ball! Once we raided the rails we went back up and had some fab chats and catch ups with friends and got incredible goodie bags!
The Goodie Bag
Inside the goodie bag was a sparkly clutch, a pair of sunglasses, 3 products from Pixi by Petra AND a €50 SimplyBe voucher! The whole goodie bag was worth over EIGHTY EURO which is incredible considering how many people were there!
